    Description

    LIMITED EDITION WESTERN LITHOGRAPH
    "LAST OF THE STRAYS"
    ARTIST NOEL DAGGETT
    This is an outstanding
    Western Art
    Limited Edition
    Lithograph Signed & Numbered
    by renowned
    Artist Noel Daggett
    (1925-2005). He entitled it,
    "Last of the Strays"
    .
    Here, the
    cowboy successfully returns
with his charges running before him. Mr. Daggett beautifully captures these
    magnificent animals
    and the
    rugged landscape they are in
    as well. The
    bold, vibrant colors
    are
    characteristic
    of his Western images.
    Mr. Daggett
studied at the prestigious Chicago Art Institute, the California School of Fine Arts, the Los Angeles Art Center School, and New York City's New School. Over time, he
traveled, lectured, and worked worldwide, his
    travels
taking him through Europe, Africa, Asia Minor, and the Far East.
    His exhibitions
included Mexico City, Paris, Cannes, and Nice
    internationally –
plus New York; Palm Beach; San Francisco; Taos, New Mexico; Scottsdale, Arizona; and many others in the U.S. His artwork is included in numerous
public, museum, corporate, and private collections
    , including the famous
    White House Collection
    . Mr. Daggett founded the
    Daggett Museum for Living Artists
    in Galisteo, New Mexico
    . He later established
    his studio
    in
    Tucson, Arizona
    .
    In Paris
    ,
    Le Monde
said of the artist that he was
    "
a lyrical visionary of bright color
    "
    .
    The artist himself
    said
    that he believed that
"there is a universal motivation to life"
, a belief that was apparent in his world travels as well as in his vibrant artwork!
    Mr. Daggett's primary focus
    was
    Western Art
, though he was also commissioned to create 25 paintings for the
U.S. Coast Guard's Combat Art Collection
. And regarding his work for the Coast Guard, Dr. Lester Cook,
Curator of Paintings for Washington, D.C.'s National Gallery,
appraised the paintings and said of them:
    "
These paintings are among the finest I have ever seen
    !"
In addition, Mr. Daggett painted a number of
    Hot Air Ballooning
images, two of which Triton Press used for their signed limited editions.
    This
