    Description

Vox Wah Wah 1967 Demonstration 7-inch Record - Cardstock pressing advertising.
This rare record was once attached to a full-sized advertising card. If you can play the record, you'll hear the vast array of "groovy" sounds that the wah wah pedal can bring to your electric guitar or bass.
Here's the deal on playability. The record has scuffs and it has one significant flaw to mention. If you look at the photo near the top of the record, slightly to the left, there is a short crease visible.
I thought that the crease might make the beginning of the record unplayable, but I was actually able to play the record all the way through. I did not play it on my main turntable for the first test though. I have an old high school classroom record player that I picked up at a high school yard sale 30 years ago. That machine was made for tracking abused records well. It played this one all the way through with no issues.
Then I got braver for the play test. I put the record on an old Panasonic turntable and it played all the way through with no issue there too! This is a turntable with no stylus pressure adjustment, so who know what the pressure is.
I figured after going this far, I would give the record the ultimate test. I played it on my better turntable with 1.5 grams stylus pressure. And the thing played all the way through with no troubles on that machine too. There was the surface noise and the crease produced a click, but the record did play.
So there you have it. If you want to play this record and hear the grooviness, it is possible. I cant guarantee it will play well on your turntable but it did work for me so it will probably work for you too..
The backside of the record shows a couple of tears (that don't go through to the recorded side). There are some light stains and yellowing too.
Please take a close look at the photos to help evaluate condition.
I think that most people want this for the object itself, not for playability, but I have shown that it can be played. This ain't no high-fidelity record. You can hear the cardboard surface noise all the way through. The record doesn't lie perfectly flat either. It's not warped - it could be made to lie flat if attached to something solid (like a regular 7 inch record). But when playing as-is, the record player's tone arm does dance around a bit like a boat on the waves.
