    Description

Vintage 1970's Vox Wah Wah Pedal V846 Thomas Organ Company with TDK 5103 Inductor.
I am the original owner of this genuine original VOX Wah Wah Pedal purchased in Oakland Calif in 1970. Of course I don't have the receipt and the music store is long gone, but I've owned it ever since, gigging all over Berkeley, San Francisco and the SF Bay area with it in the early 70's.  In 1973, I performed with it on Leon Russell's last big arena concert tour. The serial number implies that it was made in 1976 using the so-called formula of adding 57 to the first two numbers. I refute the validity of this formula because of the above stated anecdotal evidence.  Also, please note the date of service (1-28-75) on the Valley Sound service sticker which has been on the bottom plate since 1975.
This early 70's Vox Wah Wah pedal is collectible and in good working condition.  I cannot recall if the potentiometer is original.  It certainly was cleaned or possibly replaced in the 70's during service.  The pot does not affect the sound.  That is dependent on the inductor and the electronic components on the circuit board, which are all original.
Thanks for looking and reading.  I hope it serves you as well as it has served me for 50 years!  I've not used it for many years since I mainly play keyboards now.  Cheers!
